grill-and-bar.jpg    We recently stumbled upon this atrocity (while driving home from our weekly French-toast feast). One sure-fire way to get on The List—along with the anorexics, bulimics, and dieters who choose to defile our religion—is to show blatant disregard for the traditions that are a mainstay in American chow.  

Undisputable facts: Oprah is still fat, Paula Deen hearts butter, Masaharu Morimoto’s cuisine always reigns supreme… and the proper terminology is Bar & Grill. There’s no reason to fly in the face of our native customs with such reckless abandon. You don’t look clever. You look like an idiot.

(The only person I can forgive for calling their restaurant a Grill & Bar is BBQ bastion, grilling guru, and charcoal champion Bobby Flay. It is only because he’s got some cred that I’d even consider giving him a pass.)
